Practice Mode
Time Setting used to define the "Preparation Time(s)" and "Response Time(s)" for every sample question. In general, you need not to define the time by yourself. The program can set the time automatically according to the type of question.
Question Type There are six questions in standard TOEFL iBT Speaking section. Here "Q1" indicates "Question 1", "Q2" indicates "Question 2", and so on.
Option used to decide if Responded Questions should be ignored when you click "Next Question".
Choose Question Library There are two type of question set:
Questions tested in the past a large amount of question that were test in the past iBT tests.
156 sample questions provided by ETS Most questions, especially Q1 and Q2, come from this question library.
Question Collection: All available questions are displayed here. Click one of those question to practise.
Next Question Locate next question to practise.
Details of Current Question Display the full description of current question here. By choosing one of following 3 options, the textbox can display different content:
Show Question Description display question detail description
Show Template display template of current question
Show Nothing display display nothing
Play Response Play the recorded response last time.
Delete Response Delete the recorded response last time.
Start Speaking Start to prepare your response, then record your response. Note, the preparation time and response time are decided by the time setting above.
Switch to Test Mode Enter the simulated test environment. Under test mode, registered product can generate 134456 sets of different speaking test questions. Unregistered product can ONLY generate one set of speaking test questions.
ETS Rater's Comments Display the comments for current sample response which are provided by ETS rater.
Play Response You can listen to sample responses by choose question type and response level.
